Does is really last forever?
Not literally. That would be awesome, but then I would have discovered the secret to immortality and might have to become a historian instead.
That said, everything I make should last a very long time when cared for. Although I don't warrant that my designs are wolverine proof, I will do whatever is possible to repair things that have been given a solid thrashing. And if you use one of my products to fend off an angry wolverine - send pictures - I need to see that!
You make an eclectic set of stuff. How did that happen?
Good point. Leather book covers, bags and tonfa don't necessarily all seem to go together, but hear me out. I'm a martial artist and often work with like minded people. As a group, we tend to like weapons that can take a good beating as much as we relish in taking detailed notes and then tossing it all into a bag that can take the abuse we throw at them. So yeah, it's strange, and I'm okay with that. They're all useful to the person it was made for.
Do you only do custom work?
No. I do make some pieces for people generally attracted to fine, durable goods. I sell some of my book covers through Earthworks in Brampton, Ontario. Occasionally I'll make a piece and make it available through this site because sometimes I'm just inspired to make something interesting.
How long does it take?
It depends on my schedule and the item. Journals I can make in a week, Tonfa in two to three weeks. When I get busy, it takes a bit longer. I'll always let you know what to expect and keep you up to date.
What does it cost?
We can discuss a budget in the planning phase. It depends on what materials are required. Having a pair of cocobolo tonfa is more expensive than a pair of tonfa made from purpleheart. I will let you know what your project will cost up front - no surprises.
